Welcome to the Carlton-in-Lindrick Census website

I'm using this project to record details of the census data and history of Carlton-in-Lindrick in Nottinghamshire, England.

What's it got on it?

What's it going to have on it?

I've added a link to the personal website of parish councillor Gary Moore, with some excellent pictures taken around the village.

I've also added some more pictures to the Pictures page - kindly provided by Steve Rayner.

I've started an online discussion group for people who are interested in Carlton history at: http://groups.google.com/group/carltonhistory. Why not go along and get involved. It needs a few interested people to get it going and turn it into a lively group.

The first revision of the 1901 census data is nearly complete.

At the moment, the site has all of the data from the 1841 (thanks to Karen Walker), 1881, 1891 and 1901 censuses.

I've also added some photographs of the Plymouth Brethren graves, in the wood behind Ramsden school.

It's also got some village history - with the kind permission of Yvonne Jones.

When I've finished the 1901 census, I'll be starting on the 1871 data.

I've also got the data for 1861 - but it's really hard to read, so I'm avoiding it for the moment. I'll probably try it again when I've finished 1871.
